Katz Chocolate Sprinkle Cupcakes

If you know and love Katz as I do, then you already know how this review is going to play out. But if you don’t, then let me inform you that Katz is one of the best gluten free dessert brands on the market. I’ve had a lot of Katz products in my celiac life but have only reviewed a few including their Candy Cane Chocolate Donuts, which were delicious. Below is a new review of their chocolate sprinkle cupcakes.

Ease Of Cooking (9.9)

It probably isn’t fair to give this particular category a rating for these cupcakes since they don’t technically need to be cooked. However, since they are meant to be kept frozen, you can either microwave them for a tiny bit of time or let them thaw. Either way, not ready to be eaten straight out of the box unless you are interesting in chipping a tooth. That is why this receives such a high score.

Food (9.7)

I think any cupcake automatically gets above a 9, just because they are a cupcake. But these cupcakes sit on the highest pedestal. They are moist, chewy and delicious! I’d put them on par with the big Trader Joe’s gluten free cupcakes but a little bit better with these added sprinkles.

Did I Get Sick (NO)

Katz uses a dedicated gluten free facility and I’ve never had a problem with their products, including these cupcakes. Beware though, they are very very filling and so easy to consume more then one. If you have any stomach issues, overeating these is 100% the cause.

Overall (9.8)

By now, if you have been reading these reviews you might think I am being sponsored or paid by these brands. Let me clarify this – I do this completely out of pocket and on my own dime. It just so happens the last string of products I’ve reviewed happened to be incredibly good and among my new favorites. That includes these Katz cupcakes.

Where to Find

This is a new section I’ll be adding to these product reviews. This won’t have a rating but will be meant to be purely informative and help you locate these products. For these Katz cupcakes, I didn’t actually find them in stores and haven’t seen these anywhere locally. Instead, I went to trusty Amazon and happened to come across them.
