Gluten free buns, bread and muffins were probably among the first food groups to enter the scene thanks to companies such as Udi’s and Canyon Bakehouse. But no matter what, when a new product comes out it is pretty exciting. I’m not sure if this is new or not but when I saw these Honey English Muffins, my excitement took over. Did they live up to my personal built up hype though?
Ease of Cooking (N/A)
I typically only review products that need to be baked, boiled, microwaved or cooked in some fashion. But I will also toss breads, bagels and muffins into the mix because those products will usually differ in taste in noticeable ways. I can’t give this a cooking score, because you whip them out and toast them like you would any bread. You can also use a toaster oven to toast them or whatever means you deem appropriate.
If you have ever had Canyon Bakehouse buns then you are familiar with their taste profile. These Honey English Muffins are very close in taste to their bread and bun counterparts and that is a very good thing. Canyone Bakehouse has mastered the art of crafting a bread that tastes and feels like real bread and full of gluten. The difference between these muffins and their other bread products is that it is shaped like a muffin with a crispy crust. I didn’t taste too much of the honey flavor though but that wasn’t a big deal to me.
