Dr. Praeger does it again! I’m becoming a very big fan of Dr. Praeger’s freezer foods. I reviewed his breakfast bowl a while ago and thought it was great. Easy to cook and tasted really good. This is a little more tougher to cook (aren’t all hash browns?) but they taste fantastic. I don’t know who Dr. Praeger is but so far he has two thumbs up from me.
Ease Of Cooking (7.4)
I always start with ease of cooking in these product reviews because convenience is key for my gluten free objectives. In this case, these things aren’t tough to cook but they aren’t the easiest either. If I’m cooking in the oven I like to set it and forget it. These little fellows require more attention. You put them in the oven at 400 (maybe 450?) and then after about 7 minutes you need to flip them and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. I’ve found those times to be inaccurate and requires even more cooking time. Otherwise they come out real floppy. Still haven’t found the perfect time yet.
These little hash browns are really good. I find it interesting that they contain four different potatoes too so you feel healthy when eating them. They are a bit on the small side but they pack a great amount of flavor and taste like real hash browns.
Did I Get Sick (NO)
They are certified gluten free. I felt great afterwards. I didn’t have the Nima sensor yet at the time I ate these but I wouldn’t worry.
These are really good. You feel healthy when eating them which is also a plus. I just wish they were a little easier to cook and weren’t so small. You need to make a lot of them, or at least I do.
